Most of the database connectivity in REALbasic is handled by code inside REALbasic itself. For connectivity to 4D Server and OpenBase however, you must use an external plug-in. To  install them, simply create a folder called "Plugins" in the same folder with your copy of REALbasic v2 and place the plugin you intend to use in the Plugins folder. The commands and controls you use to access 4D Server and OpenBase are exactly the same as any other database we provide access to. When you build a stand alone application (with the Professional edition) any plugins you use will be installed into the stand alone application automatically.
